Student Spotlight: Bryce Bell

Today I’m speaking with one of my clients, Bryce Bell, an attorney whose company, Bell Law LLC, specializes in helping individuals who are victims of financial abuse. “We don’t just solve our clients’ legal problems; we also show them there’s hope, that they don’t have to be victims in their own life. They can be empowered to create something else,” he says.

Bryce and I have worked together for about seven years now. Before he started coaching with us, he wanted to quit his practice. He felt miserable and wasn’t enjoying life, yet he had a desire to do something greater. So, he followed his instincts and began a journey of personal growth.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • How personal growth is like a rocket leaving Earth’s orbit—its takes a lot of force to get past your mind’s initial layers of old thinking and “grooves” that run deep
  • Why Bryce decided to work with me (“I knew that was the next right step for me; it was an intuitive thing,” he says)
  • How you don’t know what’s on the other side of a decision when you say “yes” to something—and your mind tries to scare you and get you to turn around
  • Why people get stuck in situations they don’t like, and don’t believe they’re worth paying the price to get out of it
  • How “turning points” take place in our lives, and we must give something up in order to gain something of a higher nature
  • How Bryce started to own the fact that he was in control of his own life—and why it was so difficult to change the part of himself that believed otherwise
  • How Bryce’s company is finally crossing the 7-figure barrier for the first time this year—and his amazing experience climbing Mount Kilimanjaro

Plus, Bryce shares how his firm won a big case, resulting in over a $2.5 million settlement. He made a significant change in his mindset that allowed him to have peace of mind, knowing that he could handle and deal with problems as they come up in a rational, calm manner—without reacting and having his emotional brain hijacked.

“Even if you’re working on your mindset every day, sometimes it doesn’t take much to get you off center,” Bryce says.
