Episode 067: Movers & Shakers – Bob Burg – The Go-Giver

I’m so excited to share another episode in my Movers & Shakers series, where I feature amazing people who are making a huge impact in not only their lives but the lives of others.

This week I had the pleasure of sitting down with Bob Burg, co-author of The Go-Giver, a Wall Street Journal and BusinessWeek Bestseller.  Bob is the author of a number of books on sales, marketing and influence, with total book sales of well over a million copies.

In this episode Bob talks about his Go-Giver series and what it means to shift your focus from getting to giving through providing insane value to those you work with.

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • Where sustainable success comes from and the common thread that successful people have
  • That giving without expectation is magical thinking
  • How money and prosperity is perceived as negative and that unconscious thinking is blocking you from earning what you want
  • The 5 Laws of Stratospheric Success and how they can help your business increase value, build trust, and gain profits.

  1. Hey David this is Rex the artist with Sandy Daily last fall at Charlotte. I moved Sandy to Franklin and she is happily making progress! I have put my Visual Art Center and Home up for sale and have been cleaning out in hope and preparation for a change. I am open for the LORDs Will and timing! I have over 500 orphaned heirloom originals that were made to give their energy story and value. I work hard on projects contacts and self improvements that drain me and come to naught. Any advice? Thanks Rex Robinson, Owensboro KY

Hi Rex, thanks for the post. Have you reached out to art dealers and anyone who can help you move those pieces? This is where the internet and especially social media can come in extremely handy. Using those tools as a way to connect with your prospects is massive. That said, you have to start dialing to make those connections in order to get your art out there. As for being drained, take care of yourself but don’t let that get in the way of your goal to move these 500+ pieces. If that is where you stop then it’ll be difficult to achieve the level of success you know you are capable of. Keep me posted.
