Today on part three of this series, we dive deeper into Jordan Peterson’s book 12 Rules for Life. Our focus for this episode will be around the concept of good and evil.
Throughout history we have tried to make sense and interpret the Book of Genesis, specifically the story of Adam & Eve, and coming to grips with a judgmental God who apparently can be bargained with. You know the idea well. If you are good, you will go up there. If you are bad, you will go down there. It always had me thinking, there has to be something more to these concepts because the idea of this is far too complex.
In this episode you’ll learn:
- How good and evil present themselves in the world and always exist in the Universe simultaneously
- The importance of having an evolved consciousness and how instinctual choice and free will plays into our decision making
- That suffering for the sake of suffering is a human condition but that’s not necessarily evil at work
