Episode 103: Slay Your Dragons

“Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed.” – G.K. Chesterton

How do we reconcile with our past? One thing we have to understand is that it doesn’t exist anymore outside of our own memory. So why do we have the ability to recall these memories? It’s not just to remember, but rather so we can learn from it, not repeat it, and make better and wiser decisions.

We all have our own nature of who we really are which is made up of two extremes. The good and the evil. This battle is fought daily, with every interaction we have in our life.

Fairy tales attempt to tell us something, to teach us something. As humans, we know that evil exists in the world and that self-destructive patterns are continually needing to be slayed by our thoughts and actions.  It’s one thing to know this, but something entirely to move through it.

So how do you find your inner hero and slay your own dragons?

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • That good and evil resides in everyone and how we battle them unknowingly on a daily basis
  • The importance of personal responsibility and what it means to overcoming obstacles in your life
  • The one strategy you can implement today to slay your own dragons
