What does it mean to be an entrepreneur? The dictionary defines the term as “a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.” It’s not necessary to read between the lines here, if there’s no business or risk you’re not an entrepreneur.
Over the course of my twenty years in business I’ve seen how entrepreneurship has shifted, and not always in a good way. What I’ve witnessed, especially in most recent years, is that many people go into business for themselves and don’t take the time to think things through beforehand. They see the celebrity status that entrepreneurs have taken on with the cool cars, large houses, exotic trips around the world. What they don’t see is what is going on behind the scenes to make all that happen.
So, do you have what it takes?
In this episode you’ll learn:
-
- That your current mindset may very well determine if you are cut out for entrepreneurship
- The importance of willingness and drive to do the dirty work that often goes unnoticed
- The power is in the process and finding out what your “wins” are gives you the vision to strive to achieve it
