In the run-up to the New Year, I’m starting a three-part series called Making a Transformation. The objective is simple, to help you make the next year amazing and help me achieve something that has been a struggle for me much of my adult life.
As you’re aware, we tend to set goals at the beginning of the year in the spirit of ‘Resolutions’ and convince ourselves that this is the year I’m going to stick to it and achieve my goals. Days or weeks later, after fully committing to that change, those empty promises wash away like confetti in Times Square. No big deal right, there’s always next year…
We all have an incredible power to make positive changes in our lives, so why don’t we? This relates to me as well, so it’s time for me to be completely transparent. I’ve repeatedly neglected my own physical health and allowed my weight to get away from me. I’ve never made it a thing of great importance, even though others around me pointed it out.
For so many years, I made up every excuse imaginable to keep me from doing what deep down I knew I had to. It just wasn’t high on my value system, my belief system. That’s about to change and I want to go on this journey together.
