Episode 050: Transformation Check-In: The Power of Commitment

When I first laid out my personal transformation a few weeks ago and shared it with my followers, it was in response to an old belief I was carrying around about the inability to focus on both my growing business and my health simultaneously.

Without even really realizing it, I had bought into thinking that led me to years and years of ignoring my health. Plain and simple, fitness and well-being were not a priority for me.

I’ve now committed to living in my best body and transforming the belief that I can do it, which started with a decision and a plan I could follow.

Crazy enough, just before I was set to begin I had a setback, and my subconscious mind created the perfect excuse to prevent me from doing what needed to be done.

Can you relate?

I knew that how I chose to respond to this would either set me up for success…or inevitably lead to failure.

I’d like to share with you how I navigated my first roadblock to my own success, so that it can help you do the same.

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • What’s required for you to actually see a plan through
  • How ‘killing’ the person you USED to be can propel you to becoming the person you WANT to be
  • The power of pre-deciding
  • How to shift your thinking from ‘having to’ to ‘wanting to’

Podcast #50 greeted me this morning. Congratulations!

    1. Hi Alice, great to hear from you. That feels like decades ago, and I remember the golden piggies fondly! I appreciate you listening to the podcast! Here’s to the next 50.

  2. Hey David, Sarah, Brandon, Very inspiring! On my way to running my first marathon. Will be doing another 5km race on March 12th. I ran it last year. Half-way through, I hit a wave of nausea but was able to talk myself out of stopping and make it to the finish line. This year I am running 5 km, 3X per week. 10km race coming this fall. My goal is to revisit how I felt in my 20’s when running was pure joy & effortless, like flying… I have 35lbs to lose before the 5km race in March! Thank you for your 50th episode and words of encouragement.

    1. Congratulations Alice, that is amazing! Keep that goal in front of you and channel that younger you, she’s in there ready to capture that joy from running. I appreciate you listening!
