Happy Valentine’s Day! Today I’m all about bringing love, joy and wisdom to you, my avid listener. Feel the love! Self-love that is …
More than twenty years ago I was introduced to the book The Power of Your Super Mind by Vernon Howard. In the study of that book, one lesson in particular really opened my eyes to coming into close contact with myself and being empowered by that relationship. It had a huge impact on my early growth and really got me to think differently about the power of self-love
The question is, how do you get to that empowered place?
In this year of transformation, the core of achieving any significant change comes down to self-love. This is different from what most of us may think or believe. We are constantly seeking to get approval from outside sources and trick ourselves to believing that will bring us peace. This is inaccurate thinking and couldn’t be farther from the truth.
In short, the peace and contentment you are looking for is an inside job. Always has been, and always will be.
In this episode you’ll learn:
- How an in-depth study of Vernon Howard’s The Power of Your Super Mind changed my life and allowed me to see that seeking approval outside of myself was inaccurate thinking.
- The importance of practicing self-love and knowing that peace and contentment are in inside job
- What it takes to build inner strength
- An introduction toTaṇhā, the Buddhist philosophy of an intense desire for life
