Whatever may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that it is not possible
to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich.
~Wallace Wattles, The Science of Getting Rich
In the early 20th century, Wallace Wattles created what I firmly believe is the most important book I’ve ever read. The Science of Getting Rich was so impactful when I was first starting out in business because it answered one very important question for me…one that I had been carrying around with me since I was a young boy.
All over this country and all over the world people are struggling financially and they want answers…real answers that will make a difference in their life.
This little book of wisdom somehow found its way to me, even though I resisted its lessons over and over again. Now I want to share it with you.
Digging into this book is similar to finding a vein of pure gold … it’s priceless!
In this episode you’ll learn:
- How The Science of Getting Rich answered THE question that completely shifted my mindset
- Where money comes from and how it moves
- The three things you must master in order to get the riches you desire

what were the three things you must master in order to get the riches you desire?
thank you
Why
Hi Why, thanks for reaching out. I did mention the three things you must master in the episode so I would suggest you listen again. In short, you must master your relationship with God, Self, and People to get what you desire. Thanks for the post and enjoy the re-listen.
As always this episode was superb. David is the master of masters as far as I am concerned, the way he explains things is just so easy to understand.
David you are a true gift on this planet and thank you for the wonderful work you do to help people and improve the world we live in.
Thank you for your kind words Angela. I take great pride in making the difficult seem simple, and I desire to help as many people as I can with this gift. Kind of fun right?!? I appreciate you listening and for the post.
Hey David!
Thanks for this. I have had this book for several decades but never really got why so many folks loved this book. Don’t get me wrong i found the book to have a lot of good reading and points however i never really got anything like what i received from the likes of Thomas Troward.
When I heard this podcast and you talking about reading over 4000 books and this being your favorite I had to take notice and really consider this fact. I felt i must have missed something big if this was your favorite among 4000. So i went back and listened to your reading of the 3 chapters from a previous podcast and right at the end of the 3 rd chapter reading of chapter 7 i got a big reframe. I re-listened several times and then went and found my 1993 copy of the Science of getting Rich. I am reading the book in and updated way now and think i am much closer to understanding your appreciation of this book.
Strange how one reframe can color and change the meaning of everything else being read.
Thanks again for letting us know how important this boo really is to you. I am also looking forward to your seminar!
Cheers,
Mark
That’s incredible awareness Mark, fantastic! My library continues to grow, and yet Wattle’s work is still the top of the heap. Now, I have many that are 1A status as well (Troward’s works being some of them), but I glean so much from everything I pick up. The benefits of being a life-long learner! See you soon Mark and thanks for the post!

I think your emails are the only ones I open every single time. I picked up The Science of Getting Rich a little over a week ago and thought to myself how I wish someone I respected would teach this material. I’m so happy that you are!! Thank you so much for doing what you do! Your wisdom is so valuable to me!!
Thank you Michelle. I so love teaching this material, it is a magnificent obsession for me. Extremely excited to dive into the 15 week class and see the changes that take place for all those involved. I appreciate the post.
